The Spiral Sculpture

Our largest collaboration with listeningwithmyeyes, the Spiral Sculpture is a massive suspended piece in a newly built performance space. listeningwithmyeyes used a mix of lyrics and notes of memorable pieces to create the visual language of the sculpture. STUDIOPLAATS both helped develop the final form with parametric modeling, and generated all the fabrication documents for the laser cutting. Each segment of this spiral needed to be created in 2D, adjusted in 3D to it’s final form, then flattened to is fabrication form.
